Con 4 retreat

April 24, 2013

So last Friday evening to Sunday, I helped out with the Confirmation 4 camp, which was held at St Patrick's School.
Reached the place late, and to find some of my juniors who were surprised and excited to see me. Awwwww, and also to a very smiley Kenneth and Christian, who bought macs. Yeah, So I went up to the La Salle centre, put my crap down, and went down to join Kenneth, Christian and Vincent and watch and stole some of their dinner :) Then retreat finally started! We had some ice breakers, group sharing, Praise and worship, followed by Confession and supper. Oh we also had something that's similar to Easter Vigil, where we passed the light (fire) from candle to candle.
Had a really nice get-to-know-you session and catching up with my teens :) Ahhaha, theyre so friendly and fun to hang out with. And I spent the rest of the evening doing my homework (damn act luh) :p

DAY 2.
Divine Office> Breakfast> Gifts of the Holy Spirit by Dom > Games >Lunch> Fruits of the Holy Spirit by Jason and Group Sharing> Games and Tea time > ... I forgot. But in the evening we had Prayer session where we prayed with the teens.
I really liked the Prayer session, because its my first time praying with the teen and I was so scared to say the wrong thing or say something offensive. But it was a really great experience and I really enjoyed myself. And I absolutely enjoyed Praise & Worship. Love it, really. It calms me down :)

So after the whole session, we had prize presentation and also more catch up sesh with the teens :)
The teens and some of my pals (Mainly John and Nat and Talya) took the liberty of spamming my phone. WOW YAY.

DAY 3
Divine office to start off the day followed by breakfast and clearing up the place, making it look tidy.
I was in-charge of the rubbish area and there were like so many huge bags of trash to throw. And Like there was a small ppulley that could only transport on trash bag at a time. I told my boys (Kenneth and Vincent) to get those portable trash bin. I knew it'll take them awhile to get it because the location of the bins are really far, plus they may have conflicts with the uncle in-charge.
So I told the rest to bring some bags down first and not waste time. But no one was listening. But the worst part was, someone was like ordering us around and she's like a fellow YF in training. And she was like giving orders here and there. Krystle and I got damn pissed off. After my boys got the portable bins, we basically took as much trash as we just grabbed as much bags as we could and manually disposed of them. And spent the rest of the 2 hours ranting. We also had a very therapeutic bath after that and sang Praise and Worship songs together, just the 2 of us. We felt better afterwards and Yeah, it was nice. But then "You Are Holy" started playin and it was one of our favourite P&W songs ever. So we rushed through our bath and tried to make it before the song ended. UNFORTUNATELY, we didn't made it, but was welcomed with a crowd of laughter and applause. Hahaha, epic.

So after that, we had some munchies and went back for a session with the teens where we talked about our experience from the camp and the challenges we face. Yeah it was really nice to share our thoughts and listen to others'.

After sharing we had a mega feast and talking/laughing/camwhoring session with my teens. I really miss them. Wish I could hang out with them once more, Unfortunately, they're doing their major examinations so :(
